Avoid crowds and make the most of your experience in Joshua Tree with an experienced local guide! Meet at the trailhead and learn all about the desert ecosystem and it’s history. Hike into the backcountry, pausing frequently to discuss geological features or plants along the way. Group is limited to 6 hikers so register today!

Difficulty: Moderate, 4-5 miles in varied, uneven terrain

Meeting Location: Desert Queen Mine Parking Lot*

What you need to bring:

• Water

• Hearty Snacks

• Weather appropriate clothing (usually warm layers with sun/wind protection this time of year!)

• Sturdy footwear

• Daypack (Rentals available for $10)

• Lots of questions!

* Hikes are rain or shine and only cancel for dangerous conditions. Meeting location may change depending on weather.
